It is human tendency that he always thinks about himself. And it is not wrong to some extent. Because one has to think about oneself to survive in this world.
There is a well known proverb that “Charity begins at home”. Well, we all are aware that here home means our family and loved ones. And it is true that our family comes first. We all have some responsibilities and duties towards our family. We should also think in terms of the benefits of our loved ones.
I personally feel that these days this proverb is changed to “Charity begins from oneself”. As we are not bothering anyone. We only do what we feel like doing even ignoring the well being of our family and dear ones. We act according to our own sweet will that might hurt others. And hence are becoming selfish.
I don’t say that one should become selfless but one should not be selfish atleast. Also, being selfish is not a sin if and only if our selfish motive is not giving any harm to anyone. But if we know that our selfish motive will harm some one and could even spoil somebody’s life then fulfilling that motive is a sin.
My question is, is it that difficult to sacrifice? God has given all of us a heart and brain to feel and think, can’t we feel and act wisely! Sometimes our heart gives us a selfish answer then I think it is better to question our soul, which will definitely help us. We are human beings not animals! Well, folks think about it.

Mam u have done a great job by expressing your thougths and feelings in such a wonderful way..this is a great article and i completely agree with you.Atleast we should not hurt anyone for our personal sake....before taking any step we should think about others that how it is going to effect other people and we should keep it in mind that it is not against other's will. especially ,our parents who had done a lot of us and are ready to sacrifice anything for our future and no one else can do it for us as they are...

The very first thought dat stroke my mind while reading dis blog was dat..am "I" being talked about here?....coz i think people r inherently selfish and we people care a damm about others...but i feel its high time... now we need to think about others too...and dat is what all dis blog says...acc to me charity is just spreading good words of faith...nd its never too late to begin charity...dis blog is really very motivating...so m gonna begin charity frm now onwards....so wot all u guys r waiting for...read dis blog...hope it will help us in becoming a gud human beings.......very gud efforts mam...thx alott for dis highly inspiring blog!!!!...nd plzz do keep writing such kind of stuff....
